*phone is still being stupid*
* my phone is being dumb and won't let me send myself the pictures of my unfinished piece, but once my phone stops being dumb I'll add them in!!*
What did I learn to this? I learned how to blend different paints to make different hues and values of colors. I already knew a little about this because we learned about his is Multimedia and Webpage Design, but I actually got to do it like in person, which was cool. How do you make brown?
You can make brown by mixing orange and a little blue, or any colors that are diagonal from each other on the color wheel. I think the warm up that we that was the most helpful for this project has definitely got to be the sign language A. This was the most helpful because it showed the value for drawing the shapes and then from their getting all the details into the piece. It showed that you need to start simple and then from their work up the pieces to become more and more realistic. The word composition when referring to art is just the way that things are laid out and how they are arranged and spaced. The word value when discussing art is used to mean the different shades and tints of all of the colors, the lightness and darkness of the colors.
A pro for pencil drawings is that if you mess up it is easily erasable. A con is that sometimes it can leave the pencil indent into the paper so if you try and color back over it you can tell where the line is. A pro for pen drawings is that it can look very cool when you make an object look 3D, but a con is that if you mess up it has the potential to ruin your piece. A pro for charcoal is that it is something different that at least I haven't seen a whole lot of, and a con is that your fingerprints are easily seen, so you have to be careful. Adam Klekotka is a photographer who lives in Canada. Since we lives there he has had the opportunity to go to Niagara Falls several times. He however has not gone to the beautiful waterfalls during the Winter because it's always been freezing and the timing has never worked out. However when Niagara Falls had record breaking temperatures, he decided it was about time he went and explored the waterfalls at night. When he arrived he was surprised to see a beautiful and colorful scene that was so beautiful it seemed unnatural. Taking pictures in the conditions he was in was quite hard, but he didn't let that stop him from getting some gorgeous pictures. He was able to get multiple pictures from multiple angles because of observation decks.
Klekotka has an Instagram where you can find more of his pictures on. (https://www.instagram.com/xar/) This artist is inspiring to me because it makes me want to travel the world when I am older. It makes me want to see the world's wonders no matter what the circumstance is. The wonderful colors and beautiful angles are what draws my eyes towards his photos. As well as how it looks very simplistic but when given a closer look how complex it really is, is something else that makes me interested in his work. |
